Fluffy Dog Vinnie

Vinnie came to the rescue this past Sunday and tested positive for Heartworm. He just had his 2nd treatment this morning and is currently resting quite peacefully in his crate. Its been a rough couple of days for this sweet little guy. That shot in their back leg muscle doesn't feel good the 1st day and it definitely doesn't feel good when they give the shot to the other leg the next day. Its a good thing they send us home with pain medication. Here are a few pictures from the first night with me.

Apparently my leg is a nice place to rest his head. He definitely let me know he likes his head scratched and pet as he often shoved his head under my hand whenever I stopped. 

Although it may be hard to see him in there, my boyfriend, Mark wrapped him up in his own cozy little cocoon on the couch, he really enjoyed being all bundled up whilst napping. 

It was time for bed, for real, so we made him this makeshift doggy bed out of a soft fuzzy blanket and he just got all cozy in there and slept the night away. He looks so peaceful, doesn't he? :)
